Carl
Zeiss MicroImaging has released the Mirax Micro digital
slide scanner, which offers a workflow centric software
solution developed to meet the specific requirements of
pathologists.
Mirax
Micro enables users to create digital slides when using
a Zeiss high-end microscope system. Capitalising on the
microscopy expertise and reliable technology from Zeiss,
the Mirax Micro produces unprecedented digital slide
image quality and resolution. Users have the option of
selecting objectives based on specific project needs, as
well as the option to enable the random access slide
loader to scan up to fifty slides automatically.
The
Mirax Micro is capable of live remote control robotic
telepathology, and is well-suited for a broad range of
ZEISS objectives for scanning, including glass slide
viewing at magnifications up to 100x.
The
Mirax Micro is suitable for a variety of applications
including routine pathology, routine cytology,
telepathology, teleconsultation and second opinion, as
well as histology and cytology- based research
applications. MIRAX SCAN
MIRAX SCAN unites
optics and technology
from Carl Zeiss with IBM’s experience
in digital archiving. The integrated
systems solution for digital
pathology enables absolute concentration
on the essentials – the diagnosis.
High-resolution digital data sets,
digital slides, enhance the quality and
efficiency of the evaluation of the
findings. MIRAX SCAN automatically
generates digital slides for up to 300
specimens in one run – even in uninterrupted
overnight operation.
The diagnosis and report are right on
the monitor which does not have
to be at the same location as the
scanner. The data and results are
transmitted directly via the internal
network or the Internet. The sections
can be seen as a whole. Immuno-histological specimens
are
digitized before the specimens fade.
Several specimens can be observed at
the same time, current and previous
sections can be compared quickly and
directly. The diagnosis process can
also be documented on the section
and can be traced at any time.
All archive data is directly available
on the network: a real time savings
during complex evaluation processes
and when comparing different specimens.
The pathological findings can
be immediately integrated into the
patient’s electronic file and quickly
accessed.
As soon as the section specimens are
available, MIRAX SCAN does the rest
with its powerful optics.
The results
can be seen on the monitor with the
same excellence as through the microscope.

Axiocam ICC1 and Axiocam ICC3
Cost-effective digital microscope camera with
3.3 or 1.4 megapixel resolution
How can you enjoy the advantages of digital images using your
Axio Star, Primo Star or stereomicroscope without the
restrictions of conventional compact cameras? The AxioCam IC
cameras make this possible. And with no additional costs
for power supply units, memory cards or zoom adapters. Our
smallest digital cameras operate without moveable lens systems
and correction procedures and sends the images without
distortion directly to your PC via FireWire.
-
AxioCam MRc / AxioCam MRm
Scientific 1.4 megapixel camera for fluorescence and color imaging applications at a reasonable price
Fluorescence and color imaging at a sensible price Low-intensity fluorescences, living organisms and the finest
color graduations– the image quality of the AxioCam MR clearly
exceeds that of other monochrome and color CCD cameras.

With a dynamic range of more than 1:2200, the
highly
sensitive 2/3” CCD sensor acquires up to 14 images per
second in full resolution. You can then process and publish
the images using the AxioVision AC imaging software provided.
For applications in fluorescence microscopy, we recommend the
AxioCam MRm monochrome variant – for maximum resolution without color interpolation and without a light-reducing filter
mask.

- AxioCam HR
The high-resolution camera for digital documentation
Using our highest-performance camera you can for instance
analyze processes in the fields of pathology and
developmental biology. You can document your results with
the best color reproduction and with every detail retained.
Two switchable read-out speeds satisfy every requirement on
the scale between high resolution and speed. They considerably
expand the possible applications of this camera.
- Complete color information at every pixel
- All details with up to 13 megapixels
- AxioCam HRm
The monochrome AxioCam HRm does not need a light-reducing filter
mask and allows exposure times of several minutes. It
features a resolution noise of less than 7,7 e and allows you to
detect even the weakest fluorescences. With the large
2/3“ CCD it is even possible to capture fluorescences with
intensities that cannot be perceived by the human eye.
- AxioCam HSc/HSm
High Speed Image Acquisition
The AxioCam HS has been developed as a high speed camera for
applications in the fields of neurobiology, developmental
biology and virology.
- Analyze molecular processes and organisms in vivo
Physiological processes are acquired with a speed of up to
140 images per second. The image data is transferred
immediately from the camera device to your computer without any
compression losses.
- Acquire low-intensity fluorescence in several channels

FireWire (IEEE 1394) is a personal computer serial interface bus
standard offering high-speed communications and isochronous real
time data services. Offering "plug and play" capability between
the camera and the host computer eliminates the need for
expensive cabling and a framegrabber. Cable lengths are limited
to 4.5 meters. However, cables up to 10 meters can be used with
careful attention to cable quality and environmental concerns
such as noise. Peer-to-peer device communication and
high-sustained data transfer data rates makes Firewire a viable
interface for demanding machine vision applications. Hot
swapping capability reduces maintenance down time and eliminates
the need for computer reboot when replacing cameras during test
or integration.
