Tools that are
sensitive to vibrations need to be isolated from floor vibrations.
Vibration Isolation Legs manufactured by Vistek isolate the most
sensitive tools from very low frequency vibrations.
VIL Products may be designed into a tool and or maybe used in tandem
with Vistek's tool support jackscrews (QuadPods) to support metrology
tools, steppers, SEMS, TEMs, etc…
Tool Supports
Floor vibration specifications today are increasingly more stringent and
difficult to meet. For instance, metrology tool manufacturers specify
that floor vibration velocity may not exceed certain levels (i.e., 250
?/s) in order for their tools to operate. Consequently, fabs are forced
to erect extremely rigid concrete and/steel pedestals for metrology
tools in an attempt to create a sufficiently quiet floor space.
These rigid pedestals will not create a quiet enough platform for the
tool. Isolation is often required. In these cases isolation technology
must be added.
Vistek's VILs are passive, mechanical, efficient and highly effective.
Tool Design
Designing isolation into a tool in many cases can eliminate the need for
additional isolation in the field; i.e., tool pedestals or platforms of
some sort. Vistek's isolation bearings and legs are ideal for this
application. Since they are passive, mechanical and scaleable, it is
very easy to incorporate these products into a tool design.
In those cases where internal tool isolation and external tool isolation
in the field are both necessary, Vistek products cab be used in both
applications without creating the possibility of resonance between the
two bearings.

TMC’s Active Vibration Isolation Table features state-of-the-art
vibration isolation performance. By integrating our new
Compact Sub-Hertz Pendulum Isolation System (CSP
®
)
for horizontal vibration reduction with our new
PEPS-VX¨ Inertial Damper for vertical vibration
cancellation, we have produced a superior, ultra-quiet table in
six degrees-of-freedom. This advanced isolation technology may
be combined with TMC optical tables and other TMC products, as
well as designed into equipment for OEM applications.
Featuring 10 dB of isolation vertically and 20 dB of isolation
horizontally at 2 Hz (a frequency at which other tables amplify
vibration), the Active Vibration Isolation Table is ideal for
the most demanding applications in unusually severe vibration
environments.

New Ergonomically Designed
Ultra-Low Frequency Vibration Isolation Workstation
MK26 Series
Features/Benefits:
- New Ergonomic Design
- Ultra-Low Natural Frequencies
- Vibradamped Frame
- Customizable Accessories
- No Air Supply Needed - Easy to Use
- Choice of Tabletops
- Ergonomic Styling
- Class 100 Cleanroom Compatible
- Class 10 Available
The New MK26 Series Vibration Control Workstation
with more ergonomic comfort is designed specifically for ultra-low
natural frequency applications. Kinetic Systems manufactures the
system utilizing the
Minus K patented negative stiffness vibration isolators in order
to provide a compact, passive Vibration Isolation Workstation with
ultra-low natural frequencies, higher internal structural
frequencies, and excellent vertical and horizontal isolation
efficiencies. The MK26 has also been upgraded to provide much
better user comfort and additional leg space.
The
Minus K vertical isolator uses a stiff spring and
negative-stiffness mechanism to achieve a low net vertical stiffness
without affecting the static load supporting capability.
Horizontal vibration isolation is provided by beam columns
connected in series with the vertical-motion isolator.
Adjusted to a 1/2 Hz natural frequency, the workstation achieves
93% isolation efficiency at 2 Hz, 99% at 5 Hz and 99.7% at 10 Hz.
The MK26 Series can be configured for a wide
variety of applications and customized with most of our vibration
isolation workstation accessories.
Typical Vibration Control Applications for the MK26
Vibration Isolation Workstation
The MK26 Series offers the ultimate performance
for a wide range of instruments, such as analytical balances, cell
injection, confocal microscopes, patch clamping, optical
microscopes, wafer probing, sensor calibration atomic force
microscopes and other sensitive equipment in fields such as
semiconductor processing, telecommunications, aerospace engineering,
and medical research.
