BUILT-IN ILLUMINATION
Whether you choose the economy of the monocular model, or the convenience of the binocular, you get optimum lighting from the built-in illuminator. The transformer is built into the microscope base where it contributes to the stability of the stand rather than adding to the clutter of your worktable. A variable switch on the microscope base provides an extra-high intensity for photography, visual examination of dark samples, and for work with polarized light. Both models use a high-intensity Koehler illuminator and had, in addition, a field diaphragm and bulb-centering mechanism to achieve best results from the high-rated light source provided. CONVENIENT PHOTOGRAPHY
A built-in camera mechanism is furnished as standard equipment on binocular and monocular models. Camera attachments, which readily connect to an opening in the microscope base, may be left attached to the stand even when not in actual operation, always ready for instant use. Unitron’s Polaroid Camera Attachment offers the advantage of a finished print in a matter of seconds. For 35mm photography, an inexpensive camera back designed especially for photomicrography is available. For both Polaroid and 35mm photography, focusing is done visually through the eyepiece mechanism, and the changeover to photography is instantaneous.
COMPLETELY EQUIPPED
Buyers accustomed to finding separate listings for the microscope stand, optics, and accessories will be pleased to find that all of this equipment is included in UNITRON’s low price. In fact, very few "extras" are optional. Depending on the model selected, four achromatic objectives or four flatfield, planachromatic objectives are included as standard equipment. The 10X widefield eyepieces furnished are of the measuring type with provision for rapid interchange of reticles. Other standard accessories include polarizer and analyzer, colored filters, stage clips, spare bulbs, and a plastic dust cover.
ADAPTS TO SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Even greater versatility for special applications is obtained by using the optional accessories offered for UNITRON Inverted Models. With one of the handy camera attachments, photographs are easily made to supplement quality control records. Both a special reticle and the more efficient turret eyepiece are available for grain size classification. Additional optics are offered to increase the total magnification to 2000X and provide extra intermediate powers for particular applications. For extremely accurate measurements, there are several types of Filar Micrometer Eyepieces from which to choose.

SPECIFICATIONS:
STAND: Modern inverted design with built-in base transformer and variable light intensity control to operate tungsten 8V 15W flat filament, bulb grounded 3 wire line cord, connectors, and fuse holder for 117V AC operation.
BUILT-IN MECHANICAL STAGE: 150mm X 160mm with 30mm X 30mm orthogonal motions with low-positioned coaxial controls. Calibration reads to 0.1mm by vernier. Rotatable stage plate graduated in degrees. Two additional stage insert plates with different sized apertures.
BUILT-IN CAMERA MECHANISM: Photographic deviating prism system to direct light to the camera coupling sleeve in the microscope base. Path selector slideway to choose between visual observation and photography.
OPTICS: Revolving nosepiece with coated, parfocal objectives. Choice of Achromatic Set: M5X(0.10 NA), M10X(0.25 NA), M20X(0.45 NA); and M40X(0.65 NA); or Planachromatic Flatfield Set: MF5X(0.12 NA), MF10X(0.25 NA), MF20X(0.40 NA), and MF40X(0.65 NA). Coated NWF10X high eyepoint widefield eyepieces (to accept reticles and with focusing eyelens), with eyeguards.
