SHIELDED MAGNET INFORMATION
All of our Magnetic Badge Holders are
available with shielded magnets which are truly shielded. Truly shielded means they
won't erase even the cheaper low energy magnetic stripes that are used on credit cards. To
check if you your magnetic holders are truly shielded, all you need is a paper clip.
Please call, and we'll tell you how.
Magnetic stripes on today's ID cards are
almost always of the high energy variety, which doesn't require shielded magnets. In fact,
shielded magnets are only necessary for low energy magnetic stripes. High energy, bar
code, Wiegand and proximity cards work properly with our standard Magnetic Badge Holders.
Westinghouse proximity cards work properly
with our standard, unshielded magnets and should not be used with shielded magnets. |
